Flag Exchange

I participated in an activity called color guard when I was younger.  Essentially, it is choreographed dance that includes flags, rifles and sabres.  Often, color guards will accompany marching bands.  Because the routines are thematic, the equipment and uniforms change on a seasonal basis.

Many color guards try to recoup costs by selling used equipment or uniforms, while others try to save by buying used instead of new.  The best alternative for anyone out there is a consignment shop which takes a 40% cut of revenues.  I hope to create a Pinterest like site that makes listing and browsing equipment easy, intuitive and fun (the current alternative has no mechanisms for "discovery").  If I can integrate e-commerce, I would love to make it full-service for all parties involved--like an Etsy for color guard.
