Five Food Substitutions

Here are my 5 substitutions in an effort to change some bad food choices.

1. I am going to start making bread replacement using coconut flour instead of processed white flour.

2. I have already just started using a veggie based pasta for spaghetti.

3. I am going to try to replace my loved half n half with almond milk or something similar.

4. I am going to replace Diet soda with sparkling flavored water.

5. I am going to replace mini Reese's cups with some raisins, cranberries, or something of that nature.

That is going to be the start of my changes and hopefully I can drop about 50lbs this coming year.  I have high blood pressure that I can attribute to my being overweight.  I am also going to get back on the treadmill and walk for about 1/2 hour to 45 mins 5 days a week.

I've started a contest with my wife where we will do something active 5 days a week and chart our progress, the person that doesn't reach their goal that week will put $5 in a jar and at the end of 52 weeks there person that won the most weeks will get to take that money and have a nice shopping spree.  Here's to succeeding at living healthier.
