The "company" that I'm going to focus on for my class project is my husband's homebrewing label. This won't be used outside of our friends and family, but I thought that it would be a fun project to try out the techniques I will learn in this class.
Since the project is home brewed beer, the client (my husband) doesn't want a traditional stick-on label since most of the beer bottles are returned by family and friends to be re-used, it just creates the hassle of having to peel of the labels each time. I suggested the idea of some sort of a paper tag that goes around the bottle that can be removed easily and reused.
After talking with the client, he wants to present his brand using the following concepts:
Here are the adjectives I want to focus on
That being said, here are my moodboards. The first is for the overall mood of the brand and customer. The second is a moodboard that contains modern labels that I want to use as inspiration.
I'm leaning toward the idea of having a black & white label that has some pop of color somewhere on it to reflect the idea of having a classic beer with a modern twist. I also think it might be nice to either have a space on the front to write in what kind of beer it is or to have a space on the back to write it. The handstamp idea is kinda neat because it leans itself to that idea of homebrewed instead of being industrial. I also like the idea of having the stamp slightly off the paper so it gives that homemade feel.
Please let me know what you think! I would love to hear.
The shield icon that's red on the tag will be a stamp that will be stamped onto the tag. The back will be completely black.
Please let me know what you think! I would love to have some feedback on what I could do to improve the tag design. Thanks!
