Fit and Fab in 2013

 Generally speaking, I have always been a relatively small person. However as I get older, I find it harder to maintain a healthy weight. After the birth of my son, I started picking up weight systematically every year, especially in the fall and winter months.  I've had gym memberships, tried weight watchers, and other weight loss systems. However I found that until I really embraced healthy eating choices, i never stayed off for long. I am now trying to increase my knowledge of clean eating and maintaining a fitness routine 3 to 4 times per week. I've joined a running group last summer and ran my first 5K in the fall.  in times past, I never really enjoyed running. However the running group helps me to set goals and to achieve them. 

My short-term goals include increasing my running Pace and also my endurance. I can currently run up to 6 miles without stopping and I will like to increase that to do 10 miles by the Spring. Also I will like to start eliminating some of the refined and processed foods out of my diet that currently still exist.  My goal is to also incorporate healthier recipes for my family so that they will benefit from some of my healthy choices. Going forward I want this to be a lifestyle change not just a seasonal fab.
