First Flight

For this project, I chose a moment from a film I am currently working on it is loosely based on the story of Icarus in greek mythology.

I started with a few thumbnails blocking out the shot, and eventually sketched the scene out on paper.

I wasn't able to scan the image, so I used this picture as a template to create the finished image in photoshop.

Here, Icarus stands on the rooftop, about to try his wings for the first time.
