Film Fancies

Hello! I am VERY excited to start my very first Skillshare class project. Although I've watched a ton of videos, this one has intrigued me so much that I actually want to turn something in! :)

I don't have a company to design for, but I do have a blog. I have a tiny film blog called, Film Fancies, and I'd like to create a logotype for it. For now I've been using standard fonts for the headers, but I'd really like something original, unique, and created by me. I would like to revamp the site, and I hope that a logotype will be the first step.

My inspiration definitely comes from classic film title cards:

MORE INSPIRATION! After looking over the film title cards that I found on google, I realised what "look" I wanted to go for. I want something feminine, but also strong with a vintage, "old hollywood feel." Something that looks film inspired, or that it looks like it belongs in a film noir, or a film pre-1950s-- yet I also want it to be pretty, girlie, but STRONG, while incorporating an image relating to film if possible. I just started sketching out ideas today, but I have a lot to practice before I can select three to use.
