I really enjoyed learning about the principles of poster design and seeing all of those incredible posters.
As you can see, my poster is for Fight Club. The film explores the numbing reality of our capitalist society. The pain felt during the Fight Club allowed members to feel like they are going to die, which in turn made them feel alive. Within my design, I sought to capture the rational and irrational as the Fight Club ends up becoming a fascist cult, just as bad, if not worse than the capitalist world it was fighting against. The photomontage within the type is a fusing of peeling walls and soap bubbles, representing the Paper Street headquarters and the stolen cellulite with which they manufactured soap to funded their terrorist endeavours.
