Feels strange...

Feels strange... - student project

I have a confession to make:  I find abstract painting difficult.  I keep trying to make something recognizable out of the shapes and colors forming on the page.  It’s hard to let go and let things just be what they are.  But I have found over time that if I keep doing the difficult and uncomfortable, it can all of a sudden “click” one day.  So I’ll keep trying.  In the meantime, here’s the full version of my abstract painting:

This was done with a variety of watercolor paint brands on Canson 140lb cold press watercolor paper.  I have made my own watercolor sketchbook using a comb binder.  I really like the size of it, and I get to put way more pages into it than a store-bought watercolor sketchbook.
