I'm kind of old fashioned when it comes to planning my tasks at hand. I usually go for a yearly agenda to write out what I need to do for the week ( and sometimes I forget to write in my agenda and just do whatever I think may be important, which shows how disorganized I can be sometimes *sighs*).
But after watching Kevin Siskar's helpful video on what to have within my possession in the digital age to be more productive, I believe these tips will be the most beneficial to me:
- Knowing what my proactive, active, and inactive attentions are and which tasks falls under that category, which helps me identify which task takes top priority and which task I can do in a matter of minutes.
-Using a helpful app such as Todoist to help organize my priorities with colored labels and to put them in prioritization order.
-Minimizing distractions such as using the "Do not Disturb" button on your phone/computer, or using other great apps like "Go fucking work" and "Escape2" to help show what sites distracts me from what I really need to be doing.
-"Time Logger" sounds like a good app to use to track what I've been doing throughout my day and how to change it for the better.
-Creating a well balanced Routine throughout the week and having certain things done on each specific day
-I also enjoyed the simpler options of handling emails that take up too much time from my hands. I hope to use either "Amy" or "Rivvly" for such an occasion.
I really enjoyed these tips and hope they will lead me to be more productive and successful :)
