Favorite Books

My favorite books at the moment are those that have helped me to overcome the difficulties that I face on a daily basis as a result of my perfectionistic tendencies. 

One such book is:

Radical Acceptance by Tara Brach

This book helped me to change the way I relate to my thoughts and feelings. I read this book to supplement the addition of a meditation practice to my daily routine. Learning to be mindful of my thoughts and feelings, observing them rather than identifying with them, has been extremely helpful. The primary benefit I have experienced is that of being far less reactive. Having struggled with reacting to anger, I now find myself able to sit with my feelings and learn from them rather than engaging in some destructive behavior.
