Fantrotter.com

FanTrotter.com is building a powerful search tool that will enable fans to view the schedules of their favorite bands, sports teams, festivals and other events and conveniently choose the best and least expensive tickets, flights and hotels to get them to the event and back.

This FREE one-stop-shopping site will facilitate travel shopping coordinated with ticket prices for ticketed events around the world, presenting an estimated total price for the entire experience and enabling one-click purchase options. Users will be sent to SeatGeek.com for tickets, and to Kayak.com for flights and hotels. Both of these partners aggregate the best prices from around the web.

Instantly see where your favorite band, team or performer will be, how their schedule syncs up with yours, and what the most economical places are to travel to see them. Thinking of taking a quick trip with family or friends to see one of your favorite bands, teams or performers? It's about to get a lot easier to plan!

Our user acquisition strategy is primarily to reach out to fans of bands and sports teams via online message boards and forums in order to directly reach the most targeted and passionate audience we can think of. Beyond that, we will focus on social and PR. We may start doing some paid marketing where it makes sense. And SEO may be an option down the road, but honestly, we would rather flip the bird to Google on this one and build a real brand!

The first viral strategy will be to enable people to share a specific date that they are looking at on Facebook to see who else is interested. For instance, I want to see Pearl Jam at Wrigley field on July 19. Fantrotter is showing me that from New York flights to Chicago are around $250, a hotel in Chicago for 2 nights will be around $430, and tickets to the show are going for $275 on Stubhub and with brokers, for a total estimated price of $955. Now I want to see see who else is in!

Every available event date will have a unique URL and can easily be shared by sending a link.

Other viral strategies are not set up yet but will include:

- Invite your friends to sign up and view plans together, vote on which dates would work best for you.
- Invite your friends to sign up and enter your available or ideal vacation dates for the year, see which dates overlap.
- Send out alerts for when a trip to see your favorite band or team is in a certain price range to foster engagement.
