Fancy Shmancy Arrowheads

Fancy Shmancy Arrowheads - student project

As a junior multimedia designer i'm always looking for ways to improve my skills. This was my first attempt at creating custom arrowheads, and I'm thrilled to have taken this course and with the final results.

I started by creating a bunch of different arrowheads with different styles, to try and get the hang of it, and to be able to try out all the different looks.

When I had a bunch, I downloaded the sample file provided, and started customizing all the different borders, frames and logos:

I spent a long time considering all the different logo possibilities, but in the end i settled for two:

1st Logo

2nd Logo

------  ------ Patterns ------  ------

I settled on 2 patterns, both inspired by the nature and the seasons.

Spring Pattern

Curly and cheery

Autumn Pattern

------  ------ Trees ------  ------

Finally I had a go at decorating pretty trees!

When I was finished with the sample file, I decided I was ready to have a go at my own design, since I also wanted to try applying this concept to type, that's exactly what I did.

That's it! Thank you so much for the course, I feel like I learned a valuable skill!
