FINAL Illustration - Colour and Patterns

Hello everyone,

i believe I may have now completed my project .  As you will see I've reversed back and focused on my 2 fav pieces. My first piece (Valentino 2013) I have played about with GlITTER but felt I didn't want to tinker about too much as I was slightly unsure and didn't really want to spoil anything. My 2nd piece (Oscar de la Renta 2013) I experimented more with embellishments......

I hope you all like and I would welcome any feedback, anyone may have.

Thank you all and especially to Katie for putting on such a great course which I have thoroughly enjoyed and learnt so much. It's also being wonderful to see so many talented and creative people out there.

Long live Fashion Illustration

I have made some progress on my illustrations by using my 'Winsor & Newton' watercolour set. I have  concentrated on my 2  preferences and hope others can give me feedback.  Hope to complete by working further on them......possibly some glitter here and there!  19.03.13

Following motivational feedback, thanks Katie! I decided to futher my sketching by doing some more illustrations .  Also  continued by colouring some of the sketches using 'watercolour pencils ' which I prefer to use as a start to my sketches, I find them easier to use and feel I'm able to control the amount of water to the paper.

I'm hoping that I'm going down the right path and am so enjoying this course and seeing what other students come up with .........17.03.13

  • A few sketches as part of my inspiration for my project, concerntrating on the shape, flow and design of the textiles used.......I'm loving the colours and patterns.

I love colour, patterns and the intricate work what goes into the design of the textile. The way the patterns are expressed and drawn, which can be taken from all forms and organic themes.

I also appreciate the materials used and the way specific materials can be contured against the body and the feel of expression which interprets the model or person whom may be wearing the piece. There is also the shapes, style and the great thought what goes into the design of the garment/piece.
