I'm always excited to watch Anna's classes, because they really do refresh my creative process, introduce new mediums to me and, therefore, challenge me to get out of my comfort zone and explore new ways of making art.
I painted this portrait using watercolours and acrylic inks, a flat brush (N4) and an orchid leaf for printing on the hair. I even mixed acrylic inks with watercolours in order to create some colours, because my inks palette is very limited. It worked. I think those shellac inks would be great for portraits, but I used what I had at home. Overally, I'm happy with the result and looking forward to experiment even more with coloured inks. They are very good for layering.
