Every Day

It's been a few months since I read the book so this step of the process was great at helping me remember some more key details. So I started by making a list as Jessica suggested. The things that stood out to me:

-A = Change/Time---I'm such a nerd, but it's cool that everything comes back to physics.

-the daily struggle is unique

-compassion, and the ability to literally stand in someone else's shoes for a day

-human connection

Here's where I'm at now:

Every day and every life helps to shape A. He/she is compassionate and tries to empathize with each person he/she lives inside for a day. The only constant in the story is Rhiannon. A's life revoloves around the connection he/she has made with her.

I'd like to use the letter "E" for Every Day instead of the author's name. I think it would be cool to illustrate the motion of A jumping from life to life while revolving around love/Rhiannon.

I have a friend, Eric, who worked at the same creative company as me up until this past week when he was let go. Some days I would get back to my desk and see that he had left a book on my chair while I was in a meeting. The books he left were always incredibly thoughtful choices. It meant so much that he had read each book and felt that he needed to share the stories with me. The last book he left on my chair was Every Day by David Levithan.

Every Day is the story of A, a soul who wakes up every day in a different body and a different life. A has been jumping lives since as long as A can remember. A wakes up in the body of Justin and instantly falls in love with Justin's girlfriend Rhiannon. Against the rules A has set up, A makes a connection with Rhiannon. The connection drives purpose to A's life making every day about reconnecting with Rhiannon. A's story reiterates that love knows no gender constraints. It drives home that each day is special and the connections we make with other people outweigh material possessions, popularity, and personal appearances.

This book touched my soul just as Eric's friendship has. This project is dedicated to Eric. I hope it helps to illustrate that there are no boundaries for great friendship and love.
