Email File Management for Productivity

I use a lot of folders in my email box. This keeps my inbox relatively uncluttered. Periodically I pick some folders to clean out and organize old uneeded emails.  I use all of the tabs offered "Savings", "starred". I also often do sort by sender or sort by date.  I have found having 20 read emails in my inbox is much less strain on my brain than having a multitude of emails on varying topics in one place.
