Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy

Updates below!

January 2014

This ridiculous phrase has been stuck in my head for a while, bouncing around, leaving for a while only to return again, and making my daughter giggle every time I say it outloud.  I figured if it's going to be in my head, I might as well put it to work and use it for this class.

Here is the beginning of my work, some brainstorming, and trying out different styles.

Tonight's project: Figure out my layout.

Update: February 4

Working on two different concepts:

Here's one.

And this one, which is not quite as finished.

I know the first one is better, but I was trying to be a little more fun with the second one.  Maybe a little illustration would lighten the first one up a bit?

Update: February 5

Plugging away.  I've been doing lots of inking.  Some in layers, and this one all together. I'm a complete novice in Illustrator so I'm not sure which I'll need once I dive into it.

Update: Feb 6

Turns out I am WAY too much of a novice in Illustrator to move on beyond this point.  :(  It's been years since I've done anything in Illustrator, and I was hoping it would be somewhat intuitive, but I'm just lost.  And bummed.  But I'll be back.

Update: Feb 19

Went back to the other version, and I'm almost ready to try digitizing again.
