I am looking to build a widget that marries direct checkout ability from Social Media with user-defined content from the web.
Social Media has, from its inception, been a place where people can buy and sell things, and I think that aspect of SM will continue to grow over time as people get more used to paying for things on their Facebook and their Twitter, etc.
But it is also a place where the best content wins. I want to build something that leverages great content to increase sales for companies.
This is my first Skillshare class and my second Ruby experience. I am not under the impression that it will teach me everything I need, but I'm hoping to learn the shortcuts and get to a point where I can plug and play and experiment with a template I'm familiar with. In my experience, after that you can get everything else you need from some of the great web development communities out there.
