Dreamy Hydrangeas

Dreamy Hydrangeas - student project

I absolutely loved this class! Thank you Cheryl for explaining it so well step by step.

I've been wanting to try a more loose style of watercolor, so this project was a great practice for me. I enjoyed creating the base wash and studying how to build and harmonize colors.

I don't have cotton paper, so even though I used a 300gsm sheet, it was a bit tricky to build watery layers... I had a bit of trouble with my leaves as well. They ended up too defined and without that dreamy look. But overall, I really like my piece and learned a lot with it.
