Draw your feelings (5 illustrations to help me cope with life)

Draw your feelings (5 illustrations to help me cope with life) - student project

I really loved all of these exercises. I come from a creative background (used to play a lot of instruments and loved art class in school AND love doing DIY projects for myself or as gifts). I used to draw a lot as a child and I loved arts and crafts - always have. These simple exercises to draw your feelings really helped me tap into that childlike mindset of just drawing whatever comes to mind with a pen, and not worrying too much about creating even lines or making everything look perfect. It was a great way for me to utilize my creativity to draw pieces that really meant something to me and I will continue to draw these mini illustrations in my journal, mostly to help myself understand the things I've gone through or am currently going through.

Another thing I noticed was that every drawing felt very therapeutic to me, while I was making the "resilience" one and "my brain" I wept a little, to be honest. It felt like I was releasing something I didn't even know I was holding onto, so thank you so much Mari Andrew for this lovely course. I feel I have truly discovered parts of myself I didn't know I had. I think, for now, I will keep these illustrations as a part of my journal/diary that I bring with me everywhere, but hopefully, in a near future, I will start to share these illustrations online on Instagram as I feel they could perhaps others realize they are not alone in whatever painful thing they are going through.

Thank you once again and here are my pieces.
