I truly enjoyed my evening working on this final project. I took photos of my progress. Apologies as the color in the photos get increasingly "off" as the sun began to set. I used an ultra fine point Sharpie on A4 sized sketch paper.
I began by free-handing a border and then drew some objects in the corners.
I drew the word doodle and began filling the surrounding space with patterns.
...and more patterns until all empty spaces were filled. Most patterns are variations of Keren's practice patterns.
Then I started blackening areas and thickening lines.
Here's the final piece. I'm very pleased with how it turned out.
This was a great class! I've already recommended it to several of my friends and even a few of my high school students. Many thanks to Keren for making such an informative and inspirational class!
