This version includes side-panels for rendering the score and system high score. Unfortunately, sometimes it's finecky and you have to mouse-click over the screen at the beginning before it will take your left and right arrow commands. Trying to find out why it's doing that. Check it out.

Ok, this is way overdue. Not sure what happened to my files but I had to start over from scratch and is why posting now. But check this out. Nowhere near finished, lots of rough edges. I left the left and right walls visible because I'm still trying to figure out the best way to adapt this to html/browser without making the screen too wide.
The game does have a score counter on top left but still trying to work through how to render the score text in another color. I will also continue to work to add some of the elements of the original DoodleJump, like enemies and unstable platforms...
Check it out, let me know what you think. Don't forget to click on the screen before starting the game otherwise your arrow inputs will not be registered by the browser...
Thursday, 7 March 2013 (Week 3 Project)
Here's my week 3 Break Out Project. Thanks Brandon, this is awesome. I would most certainly sign up for another Unity course and wouldn't mind paying more for a project that goes to the next level.
Will be working to incorporate a score counter and a function that causes the ball to increase in speed when it hits the next layer...
Sunday, 3 March 2013 (Week 2 Project)
I've incorporated some of the things that were taught in the Playmaker tutorials.
There's a sphere and a cube. You can't control the sphere all it does is rotate. Here are the controls for the cube:
Left mouse click: starts and stops the cube rotating
Space Bar: Toggles between the default surface texture to a red one. But I have not built the FSM so that it toggles colors WHILE the cube is spinning. You have to get the cube to stop spinning first, before you can change its color.
S (letter S): toggles on and off the direction light in the scene.

I worked on another project, for this one you can use W-A-S-D controls to maneuver the car around. Not the best handling of the car but you can navigate the car to drive over some of the small hills. Also working on improving the camera so that it's not rigid.

Worked on loading a first person controller and included in my scene. You click and load url and will be able to walk through my scene, using W-A-S-D keys and the left-click mouse to pan view. Don't walk off the plane or you will fall. I tried increasing the scale of the plane by 10x but after running the new build, would fall off the floor from the very beginning. Not sure if this is an issue with the properties of the plane.
I'm also trying to learn how to animate a rigged character using the Mecanim Animation Starter Pack.

Not very exciting, I know. But here's my first project asset layout I created using Brandon Wu's excellent tutorials. I will continue to upload as we move along. Thanks Brandon!
