Discovering my art style

Discovering my art style - student project

I'm going through the class and sharing my results from each exercise.

Exercise 1. Pencil study - When I saw the image, I definitely panicked a little because it was a difficult image to draw in 30 min with pencil, and I don't draw many flowers because of the amount of detail they sometimes require, but I did the best I could.

Exercise 2. Black & White study - I definitely enjoyed working on this exercise because I was able to work with watercolor. I was happy with the foreground and background in my painting by using a wetter wash on the background container of blueberries.

Exercise 3. Prompt study - The prompt was to create a drawing from the word FULL. At first I thought of a bag full of stuff, which was pretty boring, then my mind wandered to a sailboat with full sails and then I decided to work on a kite full of wind. My kids and I love to get a kite going on a windy March day. Not the best result, but a decent starting point and I plan to recreate it someday.
