Diana Willard Art & Design

I'm a painter, and I'm working on redesigning my portfolio website and blog. I'm very new to the world of branding and graphic design, but I hope to create a brand identity that reflects and highlights my artwork and painting aesthetic. I'd love any and all feedback, including on the logo, moodbaord, colors, etc. Thanks!

CREATIVE BRIEF

BACKGROUND | Who is the client and what is their current situation?

TARGET AUDIENCE | Who are your client’s ideal customers?

Your walls should be as vibrant, dynamic, and bold as you are.

COMPETITION | Who are your client’s biggest competitors?

Other young modern women artists, particularly abstract painters like Britt Bass, Michelle Armas, and Kirra Jamison.

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS | What makes your client unique?

  • Fearless when it comes to color palette

  • Brings her primarily abstract and minimalist aesthetic to purely abstract pieces, landscapes, portraits, and still lifes.

  • Tells the story of each piece on her blog and shares lots of in-progress photos on Instagram as a way of engaging with her audience

  • Happy to create unique commissioned pieces tailored to customer’s aesthetic and space

CREATIVE CONSIDERATIONS | Does the client have any specific directives that should apply to the work?

  • Black, whites, and grays for a minimalist design

  • Either an unexpected pop of color or a very streamlined design to allow art to shine

  • strong

  • vibrant

  • feminine

  • dynamic
