teaches wacky and fun stuff

Design a cool light switch plate cover from old books!

In a pile of children's books my daughter had outgrown and planned to get rid of was one of the "oz" books, which sadly was ripped... I had loved the illustrations growing up and hated to throw it out so figured out how to make a lasting art project out of it by mounting the pages onto light switch plates in a kind of small collage.

Now I get to see these everyday!  Since then I have had so many complements on them, and requests for them that I've made more from other books and even old newspapers and several friends have asked me to show them how to do it, so I decided to teach it here and share it with everyone.  They are really fun, original and inexpensive to make and have held up even in the steamy bathrooom.

In this class you will learn about the materials you'll need and some simple techniques anyone can use to make thier own conversation piece on a light switch plate and you will make your own and post it to the community to inspire others in thier designs!  Fun, easy and very inexpensive materials, the whole project will take less than 20 minutes plus one day of drying time.

I'm really looking forward to sharing this with everyone and seeing the ideas and designs that come out of it!
