December Mornings

Hi everyone,

My name Jason and I am a college student who loves to shoot, design, and dress up in my free time.

My class project is titled December Mornings with Lana & Bass.

The concept of our shoot revolved around our daily typical lives as college students, so we tried to incorporate practicality, glamour, and style all in one.

This is our mood board, a collection of images pulled from fashion blogs like Inspirafashion, Totokaelo, and Fashion Gone Rogue. What do you think is our theme?

Yes - Fedora hats! With that in mind, we decided to put together an outfit that reflected the outlook of a (So-Cal) college freshman struggling in the (Nor-Cal) December winter

(After learning from Bethany on how to scout for locations, I couldn't stop! The little notebook I carry around with me was filled with cool areas around my school campus that I had recorded during every time I walked from a class to another.)

Here's the outfit:

Charlotte Russe coat, Aldo bag, Cotton On fedora, Forever 21 scarf and skirt, thrifted shirt and shoes

The outfit is comfortable and layered, so if it gets hot inside, you can always take off the scarf and the coat. There's a fashionable, versatile, and somewhat spacious bag to carry books by the hand or with the shoulder. The color scheme reflects the colors our school, so there's a the school spirit of the fresh freshman who hasn't been jaded by school, yet.

The final touches of the outfit are in the details because we didn't want to create a flashy outfit that stuck out a lot. Leopard print in the interior of the coat, gold sparkles of the shirt, the gold chrome shine of the dress, and to top it off (no pun intended), the amazing centerpiece of our shoot, the fedora hat

Here are some more photos of the shoot:

Here is the final and main photo (well, photos) of the shoot!

I hope you guys like the photos as much as I enjoyed shooting them!

Thanks,

Jason
