Daybreak and Nightfall

Daybreak and Nightfall - student project

Each morning during the week I walk my son to school. Our walks tend to be on the fast side because we don’t want to be late and it’s usually chilly that time of day. It’s not until after I have already dropped him off that I get to observe all the new buds and flowers blooming in our neighborhood. It’s so inspiring to see the dew on the petals, all the vibrant colors and the beauty nature has to offer every day throughout the year.

At night I pick up my son from school and we walk home together. It’s a short 5-10 minute walk, but each minute is special to me. I ask him about his day and tell him what we will be having for dinner that night. Even though it's the same walk that we do in the morning, it's different with the lighting. I look at all the flowers blooming and often stop to take pictures until I have to hurry up and catch up with an active 8 year old boy.

After taking Bonnie's class I felt inspired to draw flowers and create a complete collection. I feel very fortunate to have learned so much from this class and appreciation for all the other designers out there. I hope you you enjoy my collection as much as I do :) Thank you, Bonnie, for your course!
