Have been sketching shell fossils in rocks which became the basis of this illustration. Found this a slightly odd image!! But then that is what it is all about...
Day 2: Cloudwatching.
Day 3: Slow
Day 4: Shake it Up - three times. Watercolour and wax crayon resist. A photo-collage looked better than the individual attempts.
Day 5: Metamorphosis I
Decided to use oil pastels, not used for years. I never much liked them, but thought I should have another go.
Day 6: Metamorphosis II
Day 7: Crowd of Creatures
This lesson produced two images that must come from my deep inner psyche... A bit challenging to my idea of myself!
Day 8: Colours and More Colours
I've used the paint on a page that was first used to press wet leaves; hence the cockles.
Really like the combination of the indigo blue streak on the powdered pigment circle. These are my own handmade paints from local rocks and raw indigo powder.
Day 9: Flatten it out. (Well, I tried...)
This is flatter...
Day 10 Thread - a doodle
Day 11 Transform Me
One of my attempts for Day 4 - Wax crayon; graphite added, then washed. For Day 11, I drew over with a pigment ink brush pen. Lot happier with this now!
Day 12: Structure Cardboard cylinder
Day 13: Take Two
Combination of Day 4 and Day 12
Day 14: Texture. Full size and detail.
