Daily Art Practice: 14 Day Mindset Challenge

Daily Art Practice: 14 Day Mindset Challenge - student project

6 minutes sketching every day.

My initial list of items to sketch was:

1. A fruit (chose an apple)

2. A key

3. My grandma's china pitcher

4. A 20-sided dice

5. A mushroom carved in wood

6. Wooden figurine of ancient Chinese fisherman (ran out of time before finishing the drawing)

7. Stuffed fish. When day 7 arrived I didn't want to draw the fish, though. So skipped ahead to ...

7. Potted plant from kitchen

8. Teapot

9. Item from my daughter's room (I chose a toy clown)

10. Monster

11. Toy from my son'r room (his favorite stuffed teddy - a polar bear)

12. Flower from the garden

13. Was supposed to be my hairdryer - but became a wooden abstract hippo instead

14. My spiralizer from the kitchen. I ran out of time again and didn't finish it.

Materials: 2B and H pencils. Colored pencils and one tombow dual brush pen for the teapot (but I much prefer the softer pencils and the possibility of using an eraser + make shadows to cover up weird perspectives & mistakes)
