DIY Holiday Coasters

Holiday season is here and husband and I are so excited about celebrating with our friends and family. We normally have a ton of guests over in our small apartment, so I decided that it was time for new coasters that fits into the holiday season.

These coasters are perfect for our home and not to mention when the tree goes up, it'll fit into our rustic Christmas theme. If you already have a ton of coasters this would be a great inexpensive gift for any secret Santa.

What you'll need:

Slices of birch tree (found at local craft store)
Wood Gel Paint
Paint Brush
White Paint Pen

So let's get started!

1. Begin painting an area where you would like the wood to be stained.

2. Let it sit for a few seconds, then wipe the wood gel paint off. I would recommend doing it in a circular motion, following the rings.

3. Let dry and figure out what you would like to put on your coasters.

4. With the paint pen write out the holiday saying that you like the most.

Another way you can do to customize your own holiday coasters is maybe drawing some holiday pictures on the birch wood, such as Frosty the Snowman or maybe a Christmas Tree! Or even a turkey! The possibilities are endless.
