Cronopios and Famas by Julio Cortázar

Entry 1:

First try to a cover that combines the funny nonsense of Julio Cortázar with a little homage to old instruction manuals.

The book I chose was 'Cronopios and Famas', by Julio Cortázar.

The author is from Argentina, but he wrote the book in Rome and Paris in the 50s.

Cronopios and Famas is a book of stories, classified in the genre of fantastic literature. It's a very funny book, which presents poetic ways of looking at everyday situations.
Cortázar discovers unusual truths behind mundane realities. Situations as "Instructions to climb the stair", are counted totally absurd way.

Nonsense: perhaps the key word to describe the book.

I'm rereading the book and making notes. I intend to work in a way of saying the commonplace in an uncommonplace way.

Below is a selection of covers. The three from the top:

The first, which is the original cover.
The second, designed by Semadar Megged, for New Directions.
The third, a good example of the nonsense that I intend to explore.
