Creative Mornings

My primary focus: My focus is self-improvement and creativity. I want to grow skills that will help me become a more well-rounded person, while waking up my brain and getting my creative juices flowing.

What habits will I do? Meditation, journaling, gratitude, affirmations, stretching, exercise, reading, walking, minimalism and, of course, creation!

What is my daily focus?

Read articles or watch TED talks that inspire and motivate me for the week

Reach out to one person I haven't heard from in a while (write a letter, send a message or email)

Sketch, doodle, print - create anything using my hands (*bonus: I'll stockpile enough little creations to give away to friends!*)

THURSDAY: Job Search
Checking job boards, updating LInkedIn... anything to get me closer to my dream job

FRIDAY: Design
Work a bit on one of my side projects

SATURDAY: Minimalism
Each week I will focus on a different area in my home to purge and find items I need to let go of (including items in my digital life)

SUNDAY: Reflection
Write a blog post, diary entry, or go for a walk and reflect on the week

I've been following this routine for about a week now, and I am blown away with how much more I can accomplish. I thought I had a solid morning routine before, but Jeff's idea to incorporate daily themes keeps things fresh and makes it easier to sustain my new habits.

Thanks Jeff!
