Background:

Offering creative fiction writing classes at the local arts and cultural community center. Newly self-employed - business and marketing consultation and training; editorial and writing services and classes

Target audience:

Adults (ages 16+) and children (ages 10-15)  - Many adults have thought about writing a book at some point in their lives, but don't know how to begin such a project. With regards to children, the current popularity of Young Adult novels has inpired them to want to write a story of thier own.

Objectives:

Encourage student registration for the 4-week intro to creative fiction writing course. Success will be measured by the number of registered/paid students.

Single message:

  • One thing to tell the audience - You are capable of writing a marketable novel or short story.
  • Single thing they should remember about the offering - They will have a basic understanding of the tools needed to start writing the book they've always dreamed of writing.

Mandatory elements:

Instructor contact info; class description / dates / times / cost; venue address

Deliverables:

Flyers or brochures to be posted / handed out throughout the community at local coffee shops, businesses, colleges, etc. 

Timeline:

  • How soon is this needed - ASAP
  • When is it expected to be done - End of this class
  • How many rounds / revisions - 3?
