Day 14. Stayed the course all 14 days! Most of my "obsessions" are very short lived, but here's some of my current ones. And as I upload I see I missed adding the orange to the flower at the bottom for balance. Oh well. Done is done.
Day 13. Reliable Recipe. It may not be the healthiest thing around, but sure is yummy every time!
Day 12. (Discovered I never uploaded Day 5 and had to renumber everything!) Let's just say nobody has ever accused me of being a "girly girl". Since lockdown, lipstick is only used to keep me from looking dead on zoom calls. I almost never use other makeup unless I'm performing. Don't even get me started on the "spark joy" thing. Things do not bring joy. So here's a few of my must have's. The biggest requirement is they don't break me out and they are unscented!
Day 11. Thursdays are crunch days, but I managed to get it done. Basically, it's the only uncluttered or not-in-transition bit of my house and it doesn't show the holes in the wall left from a shelf that came down for wall painting. ;)
Day 10. Gotta admit, the Grocery Run had me panicking a bit. We don't shop that often, but when we do it's a BIG shopping trip. No way would it fit on a page! So cutting it down to just a couple of things bought plus my two must harvest peppers made it manageable, sort of. Let's just say I'll never be an advertising artist. I also just realized I misspelled Cereal! (Must be a new brand name!)
Day 9. and keeping on going! I'm one of those people who is blessed in my old age to rarely have a down day. I'm pretty happy no matter what most of the time. But there are days when I've worked too hard, everything hurts and I really just don't want to adult today. That's when I remind myself that God is still in control and the beauty in the world will still be there when I'm ready to enjoy it once more. Even that game hiding down in the bottom corner is one with absolutely gorgeous vistas any time I log in.
Day 8. I started with the grey sweatshirt tunic I wear constantly in the winter, but since the thing is ANCIENT (late 1980s) I decided to include some of the other things I have kept wearing FOREVER.
I have discovered that if I do a light clear water wash over things that I draw and texturize with marker, it fills in some of that glaring white from the paper with the appropriate background color as well as softening the marker lines. The sweatshirt and skirt both used this technique. I put the little flowers and leaves on the skirt once the wash was dry.
Day 7. After two days in a row, you now know I can't do people, lol. After being locked up with a diabetic since March, it's rather surprising that all I'm really craving in the way of sweets is pies. Being 8 hours from the closest shore doesn't make for very good seafood locally either.
Day 6. I went with markers this time because of the detail needed. At my age, if I get half the things done that I "ought" to do, I'm doing well.
Day 5. Um, WHICH mess, lol.
Day 4. OK, I'm not terribly proud of this one. Running short on time today. I've spent the past week recovering from being out of town for a week so my reading has been pretty much limited to devotions and what's on the breakfast table. Guess I could have figured out how to put in washing instructions for the new duvet cover, lol. Anyway, sometimes done is better than perfect.
Day 3. Since the weather is nice, I'm moving my houseplants back inside for the winter and getting my front porch ready for Fall. It is quickly becoming apparent why I normally don't write anything except on the computer, lol. Only using two colors was at first challenging, but the subject did fine with them!
Day 2. Had to get it done early before I go teach my music class this afternoon! (and forgot to eat breakfast!) I also learned my marker was waterbased, lol.
