I am Rositsa from Sofia, Bulgaria. I have a husband and only one daughter, who is wild and unruly for three :-).
I have a background in Economics but painting has always been a significant part of my life and finally has won the competition in my mind. Approximately 2 years ago I quit my daily job (I was a share holder in a private company selling medical equipment), I sold my shares and devoted my time, energy and passion to creating patterns, which makes me really happy. I have signed up for all the modules of Make it in design, I've become a member of the Design Lab of the Pattern Observer and now I am here as I want to learn as much as possible as to help my dreams come true.
Flowers are my favorite theme.I just love and adore them and that's why the inspiration for all my 3 prints comes from there.
Further to designers - William Morris is my No.1, an undisputed genius, who's works are a vast source of knowledge and inspiration. Another great designer who's works I study with pleasure and admiration is William Kilburn. My favorite painters are all the Impressionist. I adore all collections of Liberty Studio, Alexander Henry Fabrics and PIP Studio.
This year we spent our holiday on the volcanic island Lanzarote and my prints Island Beauty and Cactus Garden are inspired by all the exotic beauty I was surrounded by.
