Disney Professional Internship Recruiting

Walt Disney World Resort

Lake Buena Vista FL

Wednesday, February 3, 2016

Dear PI Recruiting Team,

I would like to present my application for the Walt Disney World International Public Relations Internship (job posting number: 338604BR). I have a good knowledge of cross-cultural communication and PR campaigning, both online and offline.

I have an international mind-set, which gives me the capability to create stories well adapted to different cultures, not only on a language point of view. This was possible, because, when I was in my third year of high school I won a full-scholarship to study for a semester in Brazil, thanks to my school grades and my after-school activities. During this semester, I have fully connected with the Brazilian culture. I have also integrated in the school community building trustful relationships with everyone, including the principal. In fact, the latter asked me to represent the school in different events in the city.

In my position as Social Media Intern at Saswa for a university project, I worked with a small team to redesign the social media sites. We researched the market and set up a campaign. Afterwards we ran the social media platforms for three months, reaching high level of engagement that the company had tried to achieve in the past. In fact, we reached our goals on all social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest). For example, we had an increase in the Likealyzer score from 16 to 82 over 100. These results were possible thanks to the visual content I coordinated in fact; those pictures received a higher engagement rate than others.

My experience at Università Ca’ Foscari, gave me the ability to manage different administrative tasks very easily. In fact, I collaborated with the team to communicate with the professors for meetings, update the databases with all information of the school students and teaching staff. I recently completed my Master’s degree in International Public Relations and Global Communications Management at Cardiff University, with a GPA score of 4.0, a qualification I pursued to enhance my professional skills, and that I feel is extremely applicable to the role.

I have enclosed two writing examples. Thank you for your time on this and I hope to hear from you soon.
