Winery Review: This is an extremely rich, full-bodied wine with a dark fruit core.  Aromas of blackberry, blueberry, cassis, and dark cherry are followed by more berry fruits and chocolate and mocha on the palate. (The Vintage Cellar)

My Review: This wine had a nose full of alcohol; the smell of the alcohol overpowered all other aromas.  I could barely smell the faint hints of blueberry and cherry.  The wine tasted like dark berries with a slight taste of toasted wood.  There were a few hints of chocolate as well.  This wine was somewhat acidic, but it was unbalanced.

I tasted this wine on its own and without food.
