Community driven marketing: "Not that kind of girl" by Lena Dunham

As a community manager my favourite type of marketing is always the one that's created by the brand's consumers. I'd love to mention the book Not that kind of girl by Lena Dunham. The cover of Lena's book was the initial inspiration for the title of my book, This Year Will Be Different: An insightful guide to becoming a freelancer, and also the example that I gave to my designer for how I want the cover to be.

Instead of giving the book a simple cover, Dunham (or maybe her team) provided people with a statement. They made it easy and attractive for people to share the book in their own social media streams. I thought that was brilliant, low cost and extremely effective!
