Community Legal: Oz

Australia has more than 200 Community Legal Centres (CLCs). CLCs are non-profit organisations that assist those who cannot afford a private lawyer. CLCs also provide community legal education and are at the forefront of law reform in Australia. CLCs are independent of government and business.

Because of Australia's size, it's difficult for CLCs to keep up to date with what other CLCs are doing. The Flipboard magazine is an attempt to bridge that distance so that CLCs are better informed about the sector.

It's also hoped the magazine will become a port of call for others interested in our work, e.g. journalists, law students, legal academics, activists.
