I attempted to create color wheels using a few QOR and DS yellows, reds/magentas, and blues I had on hand. I quickly learned the lessons that warms + warms or cools + cools don't make the best violets. At any rate, I am thankful for this reminder.
I also had a difficult time with the color separating on the paper after mixing. I am thinking it may be the paper? I used Grumbacher 140lb cold press paper for this project. I thought it was 100% cotton, but perhaps not? It feels like there is a coating on it, and it isn't as toothy as a paper that I know is 100% cotton.
Denise, I enjoyed your instruction and look forward to taking more of your classes!
