I have been rock climbing for about three years now and I give it my all while training at the gym or climbing outdoors, but in every other regard I haven't been trying very hard. This year I would like to move up a few grades in bouldering and start climbing V7’s and maybe get an eight or two. There are a few things I would like to achieve
-Change body composition - I would like to continue to work towards a lower BMI all while gaining strength.
-Lose Weight - I don’t just want to trade muscle for fat I would like to weigh less for my fingers sake.
-Increase flexibility - I want to be able to palm the floor while stretching straight legged.
-Perform a Muscle-Up on rings.
-Continue to increase core strength.
I will be eating better as I have started an 60% raw veggie diet avoiding meat and eating plenty of nuts beans and legumes for protein (already losing some weight and getting more toned). I am going to try the best I can to stretch upon waking up and before going to bed. I’ve also decided to incorporate ring training into my week in order to maximize strength and stability gains. I want to push as hard as I do in the climbing gym everywhere else from the dinner table to stretching.
