STEP ONE - DRAWING MY NAME - 2015/08/04
------------------------------------------------------

My first name is the one I write the most but I don't like its letters so it is a real exercise for me to try to find a nice way to write it and practice script lettering for the first time! I am looking forward to get your critiques and hope this challenge will help me feel more comfortable with this first step!

So here are my first sketches:

I feel like working with the 2nd drawing from the last picture although I am not sure about the flourishes. But it definitely goes on with my script.

After Martina's advice I tried to use capital "C" to make my name more readable. I also simpflified flourishes :

STEP TWO - REFINING MY SKETCH - 2015/08/07
---------------------------------------------------------

I tried to scale up my drawing so it's easier to vectorize it. Here is the chosen script, I have a lot more to improve but I think it looks more like my natural handwriting and also it is more balanced with the direction of flourishes. What do you think?

This morning I was trying to digitize my drawing. That made me realize that my drawing was not balanced and needed to be simplified. The capital "C" was too big compared to my other letters. So here are few new sketches :

I could keep it simple like this and stop using flourish with the "s" that make it maybe too heavy?

Or I could use a flourish with the "r" or "s" to make my drawing stronger?

I will see when trying to digitize it.

I'd be happy to get feedback so don't hesitate!

STEP THREE - DIGITIZING - 2015/08/13
----------------------------------------------

When I first started to digitise my drawing I realized it was not good enough and there were too many errors :

I decided to go back to drawing and started over digitising. It took me quite a long time to get to something I could show even if it is still full of errors. So here is my vector drawing, it has changed a bit since my last handlettering but I hope it's for the best.

Would still be happy to get feedbakcs!
