In this project, we are assigned to identify shapes within portraits -referenced from Pinterest- by filling out the shadows in order to clearly define all the sorts of shapes that create a portrait.
Portrait number 1, portrait taken from Pinterest as reference. Shapes drawn in Photoshop
Shape number 2, portrait taken from Pinterest as reference. Shapes drawn in Photoshop
In the final Student Project we are assigned to draw a portrait from scratch, utilizing Chris' methods:
First is the reference photo taken from Pinterest, then the blocking of the shapes of the features and shadows, and finally the shaded and "complete" portrait. I added my own artistic flair to it and made her more suspicious looking with a cigarette.
*I do not own the photographs, they are used only for educational purposes*
