Cheers, Asheville!

What a wonderful class! It's always great to learn some new tricks in Illustrator. I've long been an admirer of monoline lettering styles, so I'm thrilled to have actually taken a stab at it myself! More practice to come, but I'll definitely be using my new skills in future projects. Thanks, Jamie!

1.So Sketchy

I decided to go with the word "Cheers". It's such a fun word! I did traced versions of the word, but I preferred the one-off natural look of my original.

2. Handled with Care

A liberating yet frustrating experience for a first-timer. I really don't want to go back to my old ways! However, I did cheat the "s" at the top a little. :/ Using 90' or 45' handles wasn't getting the curve I wanted on that letter in particular. Any suggestions?

3. Cheers to Asheville!

I wanted to use my new word on one of my many libation-lovin' images. I have a lot of love for this place I get to call home. Here's to you Asheville!
