Channel Challenge: Growing My Skillshare Channel!

My Publishing Plan

So I've joined the Channel Challenge to create multiple classes and grow my Skillshare Channel. I am so excited! I have been planning a second class and have recently come up with an idea for a third, but as yet I haven't done much work on either. However, now that I've signed up to this challenge I am ready to get serious about teaching on Skillshare!

I am considering doing a series called "Wearable Art". My inspiration for my first class in this series came from a family friend, who has always believed in my art even when I didn't. She gave me the idea of designing and making my own T-Shirts and told me about iron transfers. So I looked into it and gave it a go. I'm still learning the ins and outs but I really enjoyed making my own T-Shirt design and thought it would be great to share my experience in a class. Below is my basic outline for this class idea.

No. 1 Class Title:

"Wearable Art: Transfer Your Art Onto Your Favourite T-Shirt With Iron On Transfers"

Class Description:

In this class you will learn how to create your own unique artistic design and transfer it onto a T-Shirt using iron on transfers.

(I will include a scanned copy of the care instructions that come with the iron on transfers I purchased from Officeworks, a link to my Pinterest board of inspirational images, and any links to other resources I find)

Filming is moving along now. I'm almost finished filming the second class in my series. I'm holding off on editing and publishing them yet because I am heading overseas in a few weeks and I wanted to get as much done while I'm here and leave anything that can be done on the move until last. I'm concerned I won't get time to film and finish my third class that I have planned for the series before I leave, but I will just have to see how things go. Two more classes is better than none =)

[PUBLISHED] A Beginner's Guide to Fantasy Portraits with Pastel Pencils

Welcome to my class project for my very first Skillshare class!

I am very excited to be participating in this class and the June Teach Challenge.

I'm a hobby artist who discovered Skillshare about a year ago. Since taking classes I've rediscovered my love of creating art. I've also branched out from sketching, which I've been doing on and off since I was a kid, and discovered how much I love painting with water colours. I feel that creating a class of my own will be another equally fun and exciting learning experience. And I'm eager to share what I've learned using pastel pencils.

I'd really appreciate any feedback you have to give and hope you like my class!
