My moodboard consists of photos that inspire me by photograpers that I consider great. They range from Gordon Parks to Elliott Erwitt to Vivian Maier and of course Jonathan Mannion :=)
All are different types of photos but they all share raw elements that I want to aspire to document. They catch the human spirit. For example, the photo of Yoko Ono and John Lenning. They share an intimate moment together and then with John Legend being naked, he is showing his vulnerability. I appreciate moments like that,
Most of these photographs are black and white which I love. It may be basic but it can say so much. You notice more depth, shapes, tonal range. And then there is this nostalgic feeling that I get from black and whites. These are the types of portraits I want to take.
What do you think?
