Catherine's Project!

Welcome to our very lived in house!  You'll see evidence of our kids everywhere, so pardon the mess (see the toes-ees there on the left?).  Things don't stay "just so" for very long with a toddler and two school age boys around! And really, why should they? The kids live here too! Also, the weather and my iPhone both decided to hate me today (hence the dark pictures).

So those are my excuses.  Our house was built in 1927, and it has lots of potential. I am almost finished making the drapes in the living room.  They need some tweaking. I can't wait to get the couch and coffee table all gussied up.

This is our sad bedroom.  It needs so much help.  I have tons of stuff that would be great in here, and this class is just the opportunity to dig it all out of the storage room.  We went to Europe for a month a week after moving in, so we never had a proper "move in."  I clearly need a bedside table.

We use our bookshelf for books, so I'm interested to see how the styling is going to go there.  I know it certainly needs some help too. (See baby girl's play kitchen over there? She has a nook all to herself in the dining room so she can play while I create!)

This is what I'm going to call the console/credenza.  We have one in the living room, but I'm really pleased with how it looks right now. This one is in the dining room and holds my fabric and a few supplies.

So that's the house! I'm sure it will look better by the time this class is over!
