I really enjoyed this class. I haven't done a lot of drawing before, and it was fun to experiment with shapes and expressions. I did lots of sketches while watching the class first of all.
Then I tried out different expressions - I liked how characters and faces appeared unexpectedly when I was drawing. Some of them felt more like animal faces, so one ended up as a dog. I particularly liked the boy with the quiff, so tried inking the lines in with a Sharpie. I didn't have anything to add colour or shading with, so all the drawings stayed quite basic.
Then I tried drawing the same face with different expressions and also tried inking a couple of those as well. I'd like to do more of this in the future, and maybe try cartooning faces from pictures or from life. Thanks so much for the class! My 10yr old is also going to have a go.
