I'm starting a list and will pick a winner out of a hat

1. The Menzingers—who I love and saw for the first time in Chicago many years ago
2. Pet Symmetry—A new favorite
3. St. Vincent—not super-familiar with her music but totally fascinated by her persona. So many visual possibilities!
4. Captain Beefheart—a true concept artist
5. The Pillows—Sought them out after watching FLCL
