Bulls of Parral

I first joined this class for two reasons:

One, learn basic shortcuts and techniques I was unaware of in a concise, structured way.

Two, use those shortcuts and techniques to optimize my workflow in Illustrator.
I'm happy to say I'm on my way for both, but any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

So, keeping this in mind, this is the advertisement I chose to reproduce.

What I've got so far:

I figured that simple shapes and flat colors would help me get further acquainted with the (incredibly useful!) shapebuilder tool of which I was previously unawares, as well as start delving into brushes in Illustrator.

I also wanted to practice my layer building and organization in Illustrator. Here's the layer structure I used:

I used the brush to make the detailing on the bull's face and the matador's costume, the pen tool for the shapes and the shapebuilder for creating the different colored sections.

Let me know - is there a better way I could be doing things? I'm still a newbie at this and all experienced feedback would be greatly appreciated.
